The Winter Market will run weekly every Saturday from January through April 2010. More info is here Waste Not Center at the Market January 30 On Saturday, January 30, 2010, the Waste Not Center will have its van at the Winter Worthington Farmers market from 10 am to 1 pm to receive donations of materials and supplies for use by teachers, artists and non-profit organizations in the Columbus area. Supplies most in demand by center members include paper, pads, notebooks, paint, brushes, glue, fabric, flowers, vases, writing utensils, books, videos, CDs, foam core, poster board, binders, folders, envelopes, seasonal decorations and office and desk supplies. The Center is a non-profit organization, operated by the Central Ohio Sustainability Alliance, which every week takes in about 2000 pounds of such items and gets them in the hands of people and organizations that put them to good use. Sources of donations include both businesses and individuals. Free Composting Workshop on Feb 9 A Free Composting Workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 7 PM at the Old Worthington Library (820 High Street). Attendees will learn safe, simple and effective methods to start their own home composting program in this FREE workshop. All are welcome! Please invite others you think might be interested.
