Sustainable, local eating doesn’t have to just be a summertime activity any more, thanks to the Worthington Winter Farmer’s Market, one of the area’s only winter markets!

Born in 2007 out of the success of our enormously popular Summer Market, a group of dedicated citizens and local-eating advocates formed the Farmer’s Market Friends, a volunteer group who wanted to start a regular winter market in Worthington.

Originally founded as a bi-monthly market, the Winter Market has now grown to be a weekly event held each Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Griswold Senior Center just North of the Village Green in Olde Worthington.

Each week, farmers, bakers and growers pack the market with seasonal winter goods, including:
  • Seasonal fruits, vegetables and mushrooms
  • Locally raised beef, poultry, pork and eggs
  • Handcrafted breads, pies, cakes, muffins, cookies, scones and baked goods
  • Raw wildflower honeys, lavender and other specialty products
